Landscape design and landscaping
Outdoor spaces designed and built alongside the architecture: gardens, courtyards and commercial landscapes, with paving, planting, water features, irrigation and lighting.

Outside is part of the design
Landscape is planned together with the building, so levels, drainage, services and lighting are resolved on the drawings rather than on site.
Planting is chosen for the local climate and for how much maintenance the owner wants to take on.
Questions
Landscaping: common questions
What is the difference between hardscape and softscape?
Hardscape is the built part of a landscape: paving, walls, steps, pergolas and water features. Softscape is the living part: lawns, trees, shrubs and planting beds. A landscape design plans both together, along with drainage and irrigation.
