How it works
What is design and build?
Design and build is a way of delivering a building in which one company is responsible for both the design and the construction. Instead of appointing an architect and a contractor separately, the client holds one contract, and that company answers for the drawings, the cost and the finished building.
It closes the gaps between designers and builders where delays and extra costs usually arise, and gives the client a single point of contact from the first drawing to handover.
Often chosen for
- Private houses
- Commercial plazas
- Office and retail fit-outs
- Projects managed from overseas
Questions
Common questions
Can I hire Fortis for just one service?
Yes. Each service can be commissioned on its own, for example architectural design only, or construction to another architect's drawings. Combining services gives one team responsibility across them.
Which areas does Fortis Design & Build work in?
Fortis is based in Blue Area, Islamabad, and works in Islamabad and Rawalpindi as well as on projects elsewhere in Pakistan.
